Burn Gear into your Hero NFTs to increase their power

A vital element to improving your hero cards is burning Gear NFTs into your Hero NFT. Each piece of gear will be either Rare or Epic and has an elemental alignment with one of the eight elements. Gear has complimentary pieces, or sets, that when equipped will provide a buff to the hero power rankings shown on the four cardinal points. Complimentary elemental pieces are as follows:

Equipping a rare Gear NFT adds +1 to power ranking, while adding an epic Gear NFT adds +2. If one piece is rare and one piece is epic in the complimentary set, the lower of the two rankings will be applied. Gear pieces must be of the same elemental alignment in order to become a complimentary set and receive a boost to your power ranking.

A hero that equips gear of a complimentary element will change its elemental affinity. e.g. A Druid that equips a complimentary set of fire equipment will change from Earth element to Fire element. If a hero has multiple complimentary gear sets equipped with different elements the following order will be applied:

1. Elemental affinity will apply from the gear with the highest bonus to power rankings

2. If bonuses are equal, defer to the gear priority order to determine elemental affinity

Gear set priority order:

1. Weapon & Ring: Increase power ranking on the left cardinal point

2. Helm & Neck: Increase power ranking on the top cardinal point

3. Shoulder & Hands: Increase power ranking on the right cardinal point

4. Chest & Boots: Increase power ranking on the bottom cardinal point

Each gear has a complete set bonus when equipped with all 8 pieces of the same element. When a complete set is equipped a Hero will cast an area of effect in each square adjacent to the hero when played on the battlefield. The AoE buffs all friendly heroes of that element until the next turn if the gear set is rare, or two turns if the gear set is epic. An icon will appear on the bottom right of your hero card as follows: Earth -> Earthquake Wind -> Tornado Fire -> Blaze Ice -> Blizzard Lightning -> Thunderstorm Water -> Downpour Light -> Aura Dark -> Abyss
